Although the description of the spell states, that it reduces 30 % (or 15 %) of the damage delivered to a creature stack, it is not entirely correct. This is due to a fact that there are also other factors affecting the damage recieved from the hand-to-hand combat. For more information, see damage calculation page. - unsigned user

30% melee damage reduction is equivalent to 15 bonus defence, considering 25 defence is cutting damage in half and 25 attack is doubling the damage. --LlVIU (talk) 00:49, 10 March 2020 (UTC)
