Links[edit]

There's no reason to make links in subtitles to artifacts (e.g. "Helms" shouldn't lead to Admiral's Hat, and "Boots" shouldn't lead to Boots of Levitation). Instead, each subtitle should be expansible, so that artifacts of that type (helms, weapons, shields etc) will appear when expanded and disappear when collapsed; and, for example, if the article is about a shield, then shields should be expanded by default when entering the page. However, I'm not an expert in wikicode, thus would ask someone to do it.--Dread Knight (talk) 07:09, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

ok, looks like it cannot be done exactly the way i wanted, so the job is done: Template:All Artifacts. are u ready for the mass replacement? --GroundhogYear (talk) 14:56, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
Can you explain what you were trying to do that didn't work out? →ima 19:43, 17 May 2021 (UTC)
https://heroes.thelazy.net/index.php?title=Template:Test&direction=next&oldid=51495 - open the misc tab and look down at '⏶'. in the Ideal World it should close up the tab and autocollapse itself or at least switch the ⏶ to something neutral. u can see how it works in the real world. when i put 'miscellanious' switch line inside the tab, ⏶ eats it ignoring all the instructions about 'the header always stays visible' an so on.
using this 'Ideal Autocollapsing Switch' i wanted to add our old treasure/minor/major/relic tabs, cause i need them sometimes. but without the decent closing bottom-switches it will look like a clumsy mess of monstrous misc-like lists. it will look like a clumsy mess anyway, but there is a thin line between tolerable and intolerable clumsiness. --GroundhogYear (talk) 11:21, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
I looked into to doing this with lua, but it seems lua is more just for making more efficient (faster) templates. If we had access to javascript however, we could do anything we want. But javascript needs to be enabled and permission to edit granted. →ima 12:27, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
