#REDIRECT Griffin and Royal Griffin

Description
Griffins roost in special towers built for them on the Castle grounds. Royal Griffins can counterstrike against an unlimited amount of attackers.
Dwelling
Royal Griffins are recruited from the Upgraded Griffin Tower.
Upgrading
This is the upgraded version of the Griffin.
Comments
Fast flying unit with good stats and an interesting special, and quite a good growth rate if you build the Griffin Bastion.

Quite effective behind castle walls, since they have unlimited retaliation, and especially if you have Tactics at expert level (and your opponent doesn't have any level in this same skill...), since in this case they can fly behind walls in their first turn. Add a good Stone Skin spell on them before sending them though: their defense is not ridiculous but they don't have that many hit points (on the other hand, they are, again in case of a siege, an ideal candidate for Archangels' ability to resurrect due to their quite low hit points).

Related Topic
Edric the Knight has a specialty in Griffins, which increases the attack and defense skills of any Griffin or Royal Griffin he commands for each level he attains after the 3rd level.
