* I'm uncertain about directly calling Ardon "another planet", since it has a great deal of direct references to Enroth and Erathia, which would realistically be unlikely if it's a part of another world (there's even an artifact with Erathia in its name, which was supposed to be carried to Ardon from where Erathia should be, on the map). Furthermore, it was created not long after the sudden addition of Jadame to the planet (so the devs likely wanted to repeat the addition of a new continent, as Jadame was successful), and its Northern coast matches the coast found on the Southern part of the H2 map of Enroth (continent). If anything, I'd leave it vague or mentioning both possibilities. --FirePaladin2 (talk) 13:45, 16 May 2024 (UTC) **How about this? --Turnam (talk) 16:26, 16 May 2024 (UTC) ***Yup, sounds great! --FirePaladin2 (talk) 16:54, 16 May 2024 (UTC) ****It is highly unlikely that Ardon is a continent on Enroth. Crusaders manual: "Unfortunately, the Book of Ardon is as inaccurate with regard to the topography of this world as a rumormonger is with the facts!" Warriors manual: "During the untold years of the war that enveloped Ardon, the humble people actually living on the world were rarely considered by either of the immortal fighters." The first quote is rather vague, but the second one strongly implies that "the world" in question is, in fact, Ardon. Both quotes can be written around, but taken at face value they describe Ardon as a world (or at least the second one does). But the main issue with interpreting Ardon as a continent on Enroth comes from what is established by Warriors. The game describes Ardon as a hotspot of the Ancient-Kreegan war throughout its history, both sides intervening into Ardon's affairs numerous times. This conflicts with Enroth's lore. It had little to no contact with the Ancients since the Silence. The Kreegan invaded, with MM6 highlighting. Minor incursions happened before, e.g. The Fiery Moon campaign (and if we interpret the Underworld demons as Kreegan, before that as well), but Enroth certainly wasn't constantly fought over by the Ancients and Kreegans. Fitting Ardon into Enroth as a continent would require some major post-rationalization, basically writing new lore to explain the aforementioned discrepancy this interpretation creates. Because of that, I wouldn't present this interpretation as having much basis for it om a lore article. Also, I'm not sure about the northern coast from Crusaders matching the one found in the H3 map. There certainly is some resemblance, but it's debatable whether it's very close or intentional. You may well be onto something with devs possibly wanting to introduce a new continent back in 1999. [BTW, Crusaders was released before MM8 and the introduction of Jadame, though it was around the same time indeed.] After all, Crusaders never outright says that Ardon is a different world. However, Warriors certainly does much more to distance Ardon from Enroth, so the plans to make Ardon a new continent were abandoned, if there were any at all. As for references, Enroth is the name of a monastery in Warriors, and there is a talisman called the Star of Erathia in Crusaders. Direct connection to those Enroth and Erathia was never indicated, and these words could realistically be used on both worlds. After all, there is a (New) Sorpigal on Enroth with no apparent in-universe connection to Soprigal from MM1 (New Sorpigal was founded many centuries before Ironfist came to Enroth). Not to mention all the other references to MM1-5 in character and location names that Enroth has. Even if Ardon is a different world, it still was apparently created or seeded by the Ancients, so cultural similarities to Enroth (like a shared couple of words) are not at all unthinkable. I rephrased the Ardon mention in the article and moved it into the commentary. --XEL (talk) 08:01, 5 July 2025 (UTC) :Moving it to user commentary is fair. Beyond what the wiki is concerned with, I'd say it's a matter of preference, as both visions have their appeal. --FirePaladin2 (talk) 15:36, 5 July 2025 (UTC) :::Moved it to Trivia instead. It's not impossibile (though I find it unlikely), so better for it to be more immediately noticeable than the fanon map in the commentary. --XEL (talk) 17:47, 12 August 2025 (UTC) If the Timeline of the Ancient Universe on the Might & Magic Fandom Wiki is to be believed, any event on Ardon took place in the 1190s and 1200s. Also, one could speculate that Ardon is technically a Post-Reckoning Enroth, but as of now, this can't be confirmed. --Wadmooddeer (talk) 20:07, 21 July 2025 (UTC) :These dates are speculation, although I see where the author of those enteres is coming from. The games themselves never reveal when exactly the Ardon games in relation to the Enroth/Axeoth saga. There is a slight correlation, since the protagonist of the novel The Sea of Mist, Praz, is the son of Daria (from Warriors and Shifters) and meets Clancy, who by that time has prior history with Nymus from around the time of Praz's birth (20 years before the book's events). However this is still very broad, especially given that Daria is a magic user and daughter of an Ancient, so she could have lived for a very long time. So, while the book apparently does take place some considerable time after SoD and apparently the Reckoning, its (and by extension the Enroth games') chronological relationship with the Ardon games canh vary greatly (as Daria could have had Praz much later than those games' events). --XEL (talk) 15:16, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
