In Restoration of Erathia Uland is one of two heroes who have more than two levels of secondary skills (the other one being Deemer). Adrienne, introduced in Armageddon's Blade, starts with Expert Fire Magic and Basic Wisdom.

In Horn of the Abyss Uland's starting Wisdom was downgraded from advanced to basic.
