Are manuals actually necessary for this wiki?

While the idea of manuals in this wiki is reasonable, I fail to see the point of having them here. In my opinnion, these manual pages are useless. I do not think anyone will read them from here, and certanly not in this form where all the pages are scattered as their own files. I suggest that we will remove the files. Any counter arguments? –Kapteeni Ruoska (talk) 10:24, 5 November 2017 (CET)

The point is to have the text searchable in the wiki. I've painstakingly edited each one for accuracy.

What do you mean by searchable? Is it somehow possible to use the wiki's search function to find words in the pages of manual? –Kapteeni Ruoska (talk) 14:40, 5 November 2017 (CET)
Try using the wiki's search function with: "manual page" archangels

In that case, should that search utility be mentioned on the main page or something? It sounds like it could be useful, but since not even Kapt. Ruoska or I knew of it, it seems unlikely that it would be made use of by people using the wiki Ibraesil (talk) 11:59, 6 November 2017 (CET)
The search utility is just the basic one in the sidebar. The people just need to know to type "manual page" in quotes and then whatever it is they are looking for after that. I added a hint to my main page proposal. What do you think?
