Weapon

Boots

Artifacts equipped in this slot have varying powers, but are generally strong.

Necklace

Artifacts equipped in this slot usually (8 out of 17 artifacts) render units immune to certain Spells (damage to whole battlefield: Destroy Undead, Death Ripple, damage to single target: Lightning Bolt, damage to many targets, arcing spell: Chain Lightning, temporary unit remover: Blind, friendly fire: Berserk, active crowd control: Hypnotize, unit attack reduction: Curse and Forgetfulness as unit damage reducers) but there are also skill enhancers, attack/defense or spellpower/knowledge as well as luck/morale additions.

Some of the necklace artifacts are also part of combination parts that grant additional effects if all parts are combined on the same hero.

Ring

Artifacts equipped in these slots give varying bonuses, though they are seldom very powerful.

There are 10 rings in total, the Equestrian's Gloves artifact counts as a ring slot item.

As alternatives most weapons increase attack, all shields increase defense (one at the expense of attack). 2 rings can be equipped.

Miscellaneous

The artifacts that can be equipped in these slots are many, and have different powers, but the ones boosting Secondary Skills are in the majority.
