| Nighon was not a monarchy, but merely a federation of lords who united in large war expeditions (like the one against Erathia). These rulers constantly clashed in internal struggles for supremacy.

| Later on civil war broke out in Nighon. Mutare set out to unite the country under her scepter and largely succeeded after killing Ordwald. She then waged wars on the continent, which are described in the Heroes Chronicles [[Clash of the Dragons]] campaign. Shortly after her failures, she dies being killed by [[Dracon]].
