Having a high scouting range is usually not that good. It can help a bit in the early game, but unless there are a lot of [[Necropolis]]es with [[Cover of Darkness|Covers of Darkness]] built, the advantage will be quickly lost.

In HotA scouting radius can be increased up to 12 for heroes without scouting specialty. With scouting specialty of Miriam or Beatrice maximal radius can go up to 24.
