I think Labetha is a dwarf, not a human. Looking at the way Elementalists are arranged, there are a male and female genie that share air magic as a starting skill, a male and female elf that share water magic, and a male and female human that share fire magic. That leaves Grindan and Labetha sharing earth. Additionally, her and Grindan have the same background in their portrait and it would better explain why she was raised by dendroids.
