Titan's Lightning Bolt is a 5th level spell in the School of air magic.

This spell was introduced to Heroes of Might and Magic III in Shadow of Death expansion with combination artifact Titan's Thunder. While the assembled artifact is equipped, titan's lightning bolt is set into hero's spell book.

The spell has no (zero) casting cost and always does 600 points of damage regardless of hero's spell power or level of expertice in air magic.

The 2nd level air spell Lightning Bolt (one power point netting 25 points of damage using the spell, with constant base boni being 0.4x (10 dmg) @basic, 0.8x (20 dmg) @adv, 2x (50 dmg) at expert) does this amount of damage at about 24 spell power points with 10 points of mana (not 0 like in Titan's Lightning Bolt) spent.

It would deal 610 air damage at basic skill with 24 spell power points having a bonus of about half the spell power, at advanced air spell skill it would be 620 air damage having a one time base bonus of about the spell power.

A hero with a maxed out secondary skill of air magic would only need a measly 23 points of spell power dealing 625 air damage using Lightning Bolt compared to Titan's Lightning Bolt, if the creature stack does not have spell resistance or can bypass some of the damage.

The most effective direct damage spell in terms of damage versus power.
