From The Heroes of Might and Magic III wiki

The Forge was a planned town in the expansion Armageddon's Blade, based on a mix of technology and the Might & Magic universe.

It had units using among other things chainsaws, guns, jetpacks, and rocket launchers.

It was scrapped and replaced with Conflux, probably due to protests from the fans.
