Expansions typically refers to official additions to the original game Heroes of Might and Magic III: Restoration of Erathia Restoration of Erathia called Armageddon's Blade and Shadow of Death. They are the main expansion packs, and require the original game in order to work. Both includes new campaigns that continues the storyline of Restoration of Erathia. Sometimes Heroes Chronicles is considered to be an expansion, but was more aimed as an introduction for beginners to the Heroes of Might and Magic -series.

  • Armageddon's Blade - Adds a new town, 2 artifacts, new campaigns, heroes, maps and many creatures.
  • Shadow of Death - Adds new artifacts, campaigns, maps and heroes.
  • Heroes Chronicles - A few short and easy single player campaigns, sold separately and not requiring main game, with limited functionality (no single scenerio or multiplayer mode).

The Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete is a collection of Heroes of Might and Magic III: Restoration of Erathia, Armageddon's Blade and Shadow of Death.
