When the Stone Children began losing their battle against Tepotl Hollow Eye, he plunged a knife into his chest, chanted a spell, and turned his mind to the Great Serpent. The Couatls accepted Hoatzin's sacrifice and fell upon the forces of Tepotl, devastating them and winning the battle for the Stone Children.
