== Story ==
A [[Dark Elf]] explorer and naturalist. Friend of {{Hn|Henrietta|0=}}

Returning from a foot trek through [[Garrote Gorge]], Wynona was surprised to find [[Burton]] a thriving city. When she learned that [[Henrietta]] was arranging an [[airship]] exploration mission to the as-yet uncharted [[Couatl Islands]], Wynona immediately signed up.

Upon reaching the [[Couatl Islands]], their airship was immediately attacked by {{Hn|Pactal|0=}}'s [[Nightcrawlers]] and crashed into the jungle. Several crew members were killed in the crash and [[Henrietta]] was knocked unconscious. Being at home in rough, unforgiving environments, Wynona immediately took charge of the situation. According to [[Henrietta]]:

<pre>"..the dark elf [was] all action, showing the men which trees could be cut down and which ones should never be approached, where and from what to make fires, how to tie and trim clothes to prevent dangerous small critters from reaching the body, how to get thirst-quenching liquid from thick snakelike vines, and whatnot. My vision was blurry, and it looked as though there were three or four Wynonas running around the camp at once, barking orders, encouraging, slapping the slow learners, swinging axes, and blowing up stinking smoky bonfires to keep insects away. At length the elf, puffing noisily, plopped down beside me on a log. In her hand there was an outlandishly disgusting-looking centipede—Wynona was biting through its shell rings and sucking something out."</pre>

From that point on, Wynona was a fast friend of [[Henrietta]]'s, helping her with leading the expedition. During a trek through the jungle, Wynona noticed [[Uncle Kett]], a member of [[Tavin's Guerillas]] who had been brought to the islands to be sold as a slave. Before he died, [[Uncle Kett]] informed [[Henrietta]] that {{Hn|Tavin|0=}} and some {{Cn|Halfling}}s had survived in [[Eeofol]] and were fighting back against the [[Kreegan]]s. Wynona could see how much this information meant to [[Henrietta]] and immediately offered to help her reclaim her homeland once the current expedition was over.

After watching [[Henrietta]] and Wynona for a while, [[Tlamac Hundred Thoughts]] (the last shaman of the [[Bloodied Feathers]]) offered to help. As his tribe and the {{Cn|Couatl}}s had been nearly hunted to extinction by [[Pactal]], he decided that this was the opportunity he was waiting for. Once they had defeated [[Pactal]], he performed a ritual to create a {{Cn|Crimson Couatl}} and bind Wynona to it.

<pre>Tlamac stood there by a huge stone dish in which a red, acrid-smelling, thick liquid was gurgling, and in the middle of it rested a large egg, appearing as if covered in thin stone tiles. The shaman recited incantations in a deep growl and poured blood over the egg from a skull bowl.</pre>

The ritual instilled Wynona with "boundless love for all that flutters, crawls, jumps, and crawls. For all that have lived, are living and will live."

<pre>For a second I thought I had died. Moans, screams, coughs, wheezes, pleas—all of it rushed through my whole being in an instant. My heart skipped a beat... but then I felt a mighty wave of warmth and indomitable power flood me, along with the excited cries of the dozens of feathered serpents that were at that moment making their way through the entrances.</pre>

Wynona took a chisel and released the newborn [[Crimson Couatl]] from its egg, thus completing the ritual. Riding high on their success in the [[Couatl Islands]], Wynona and [[Henrietta]] returned to [[Terra Nova]] with their new allies.

However, things had dramatically changed for the worse in their absence. {{Hn|Kastore|0=}} had taken control of [[Terra Nova]] and declared the [[Halfling]]s outlaws. [[Henrietta]] and Wynona came up with a plan to plunder the [[Southlands]] and rally as many as they could to liberate [[Eeofol]], leaving [[Terra Nova]] forever. Fortunately, Wynona's bond with the [[Couatl]] gave her a helpful new abilities:

<pre>Wynona's bond with her new friends was unusual yet unbreakable. Hugging the tired [Couatl] scout by his big, craggy head, she could see everything that he himself had seen over the past few days. It seemed as though we were not the only targets of the bounty hunters Kastore had sent out. The Couatl saw several gunslingers dragging a shackled man who looked like an alchemist. There was also another prison to the north, guarded by juggernauts, but there was no way of knowing who was languishing there.</pre>

Wynona's abilities with the [[Couatl]]s grew in leaps and bounds, allowing her to instruct them in complex tasks. Using this bond, her [[Couatl]]s quickly gained air supremacy over [[Terra Nova]]'s [[airship]]s, tipping the conflict in their favor. After a hard-fought battle, the [[halfling]]s and their allies commandeer several [[airship]]s and embark once again for [[Eeofol]]. Wynona makes good on her promise and tags along, successfully helping [[Henrietta]] liberate her homeland.
