== Trivia ==
* It is left open for interpretation whether or not the Underworld demons are [[Kreegan]]. Information from the games and developers provides basis for both assumptions.
* Forces of the Underworld, led by [[Duke Deezelisk]], tried to conquer [[Erathia]] during its first years, but were repelled by [[Rion Gryphonheart]].
* By the end of [[Conquest of the Underworld]], Erathian forces have launched a massive assault that is cleansing the Underworld of demon influence. This ties into it not being featured in any of the games that take place later in the timeline. 
* At least individual demons were still present on Enroth during the following centuries, predating the [[Night of Shooting Stars]]. They inhabit Daemon Caves, featured in {{homm1}} and {{homm2}}.
* In [[Target]], [[Sandro]] also encounters a [[Pit Fiend]] named [[Shalongrarg]]. Although likely part of the recent Kreegan invasion, he, [[Jared]] and their forces may be remnants of the Underworld, since there is a slight possibility that the scenario takes place before the Night of Shooting Stars.
