== Story ==
An effective project manager. Member of the [[Captain-Director Council]] of the [[Merchant Guild of Alvar]]. Though [[Todd]] at one time worked for him, in [[Deus Ex Machina]], Bertram races him to build the first [[Dreadnought]].

His full name is Bertram Hard Word. He is the son of [[Bolton Silver Belly]] and grandson of [[Benoit Deep Pocket]], all of whom belong to the [[Twice-Belted Goldsmiths Clan]] of [[Mount Lesser Smoked Head]].
