Blood relative of [[King Nicolas Gryphonheart]], possibly his illegitimate son. In {{homm4}}, he becomes the king of [[Iranese|Palaedra]].

Lysander was one of the first leaders to have success against [[Kilgor]], driving him out of [[Avauntnell]] and [[Minewell]]. Lysander continued the fight against {{Hn|Kilgor|0=}} into [[Tatalia]], but was unsuccessful in driving him out. Due to [[Ravenwood]]'s help, he escaped [[The Reckoning]] to [[Axeoth]].

== Trivia ==
The writer of {{homm4}}, Terry Ray, mentioned in his notes that Lysander, {{Hn|Waerjak|0=}} and Gauldoth Half-Dead are brothers and illegitimate sons whom Nicolas Gryphonheart had by a woman named Idune. This never made it into the release version, the game only directly confirming that Lysander is a Gryphonheart. However, it doesn't exactly contradict anything, either.
