:It looks quite weird because early flux gameplay without air and water upgrades to save offense skill bonuses for them is a commonplace now. Inteus shares a likeness with George Almond.  George did all of the HoMM3 concept art, the manual cover, and the interface backgrounds.  He also painted all the Hero portraits, so I’m not surprised he slipped himself into the game.
