== 1161 vs 1162 == MM6 starts in the first half of 1165, its opening text saying that three years have passed since the Night of Shooting Stars. This strongly points to 1162. It is mentioned in Kreegan reference that the Night happened approximately three years before August 1164. "Approximately" is key here, especially given that MM6 (the game that introduces and focuses heavily on the Night) is more explicit about three years before 1165. It's also mentioned that "shortly after" the Kreegans landed, they "immediately" attacked AvLee and Erathia. And we know from Xarfax's bio that he fought Kreegans in 1162, plus Kreegan reference saying that the initial invasion ended about two years before the summer of 1164. Of course, the above still leaves some room to interpret the Night as happening somewhere at the end of 1161. However, the general message MM6 conveys goes like "it is now 1165, and the intro cutscene takes place three years before that", so the most obvious assumption would be that the Night took place in 1162. Such an assumption is further supported by this year being directly mentioned in the context of the Kreegan invasion (Xarfax's bio). We can use something like "around 1162", though personally I'd just mark it as 1162. --XEL (talk) 01:05, 11 July 2025 (UTC) * Great, If mm6 is that explicit about it, lets go with 1162 and explain the conflicting dates and the reasoning on Talk: Timeline --Legate (talk) 00:56, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
