Did Morglin come through here?
Morglin Ironfist came to Enroth through a portal from VARN-4. I was under the impression that all inter-planetary portals connecting to Enroth were once part of the Web of Worlds? Was the Sparkling Bridge also a fragment of the Web? Is there a formal definition of the Web in one of the games? --Legate (talk) 15:21, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
- MM6-8 all discuss the Web, each providing various details on it and the Silence. It is a universal network of shipping and communications holding all the myriad worlds in the Ancient domain together. The Web also includes an all-encompassing Gate system, which was still being built when the Kreegan caused the Silence. Because of the Silence and the escalating war, the Ancients never properly set up the Gate on Enroth — that's why the heroes in MM7 gather the materials to open the Gate. The exact name "Web of Worlds" was established by MM8, with Escaton using the term. Since the Silence, the Ancients have partially rebuilt the Web many times, but the Kreegans kept destroying it.
- It is highly likely that Morglin's portal and the Sparkling Bridge are both parts of the Web. However, this is not explicitly confirmed.
- A friend of mine and I have a theory that maybe the Sparkling Bridge was created by people on Enroth soon after the Silence (perhaps by remnants of the Colonial Government, by Jarg's Horde, or by Bracaduun) in an attempt to reconnect to the Web and find the Ancients. --XEL (talk) 15:55, 12 August 2025 (UTC)
