Road ignores all terrain penalties and enables hero to move further on the Adventure Map. There are three different types of roads: dirt, gravel and cobblestone. In manual, it states that movement on dirt road costs 75%, on gravel road 65% and on cobblestone road 50% compared to "normal" moving (i.e. without terrain penalty). This movement bonus only applies to road-to-road movement.
