Heroes of Might and Magic III: Restoration of Erathia was released in North America on February 28, 1999. It was followed by two official expansions. The first was Armageddon's Blade, released in North America on September 30, 1999. The second and final official expansion was Shadow of Death, released in North America on March 31, 2000. Both expansions may be installed independently of each other and require the original game to be installed first. Sometimes Heroes Chronicles is considered to be an expansion, although it is more aimed as an introduction for beginners to the Heroes of Might and Magic series. Heroes of Might and Magic III Complete is a collection that includes the original game along with both expansions.
