Hey!

There are plans for switching Factory's alignment to Good, that's why it is reasonable to make some preparations for it, such as changing of town matrix - a column for each alignment.

Example:

  • {Castle - Fortress - Inferno}
  • {Tower - Stronghold - Necropolis}
  • {Rampart - Conflux - Dungeon}
  • {Factory - Cove - Empty for evil-aligned faction}

Example

I think I got 'em all. Let me know if I missed any: Template:Towns small (creatures)/Template:Towns small (heroes)/Template:Towns small (buildings)imahero 20:14, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
What's the purpose of the 'Good creature' and 'Evil creature'? 'Neutral creature' serves as 'non-faction creature', not 'neutral-aligned' creature. I think these 3 extra cells and the empty 1 are confusing and it would look better like ( this). - Csaros (talk) 12:25, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
Purpose was to make room for the eventual new evil town. Maybe we can have lists of good and evil creatures and those two other images can link to them? –imahero 12:54, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
While I also cannot wait for the new evil town, judging by HotA's timeline, it's gonna be here in what? 5 years? I think we can change the template by then. I just don't like the empty space and feel like this is a bit unnecessary. I know some will suggest adding Forge as the evil town for now, which was supposed to be evil, I know, but nonetheless it doesn't really serve a purpose of sending people to appropriate creature pages easily. /n As to the list of good and evil creatures - what do you mean by that? Just creatures from evil / good factions? If so, what for? And what about creatures from neutral-aligned factions? I don't really see the purpose here, at least for now. I think Kastore's original idea (from drive) is already great --Csaros (talk) 16:33, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
Maybe instead just change the column background color to green or white (good), yellow or gray (neutral), and red or black (evil)? --Legate (talk) 18:04, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
OK I did that. Is it better than pics? –imahero 18:11, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
Hmmmm. What if I just remove the links for the good and evil and just use the pics instead of colors? –imahero 18:16, 18 January 2024 (UTC)
Still entirely open to ideas and opinions on this. Maybe just not have a box for the unaligned creatures and instead use some other part of the UI for that. Like another vertical element on the side that reads unaligned creatures or something. –imahero 18:16, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

I like the new version a lot, imahero. I just suggest a small fix: Make the Neutral creature bar slightly smaller (so that it's not bigger than any other town) and move it to the empty spot on the right, to create a nice grid matrix. --Csaros (talk) 21:55, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

Welcome!

  • Hi there and welcome! Very interesting...Are you in contact with the Horn of the Abyss team or is there a source you got this info from? --Legate (talk) 15:45, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
  • I am former HotA Crew member, Kastore in Credits. The source is official, its from DF2 Forum. Information was approved by active crewmate, DonKo. --Kastore
  • Wow, this is like meeting a celebrity! Thanks for all your hard work and the info! Feel free to let us know pass along any info or documentation you want and we will happily add it to this wiki. --Legate (talk) 02:06, 13 January 2024 (UTC)
  • Cheers. I'm just sharing relevant information. --Kastore
  • You are that bastard who betrayed Henrietta! Jokes aside, interesting change though I personally prefer Factory as a neutral faction.--Archer (talk) 14:55, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
  • And this is just the beginning. :D Btw, I understand your thoughts about alignment. Factory was originally designed to be neutral. Now the Crew has decided that, despite all the “but,” the town is closer to good. In addition to balance among the factions, this brings us closer to the possible appearance of an evil faction. --Kastore
