Plague

Every new month has a chance of being a 'Month of the Plague'. This causes the number of troops already accumulated in your towns' creature dwellings to be halved, and no new ones are generated in external or internal dwellings the first week of the month. Therefore, it is wise to buy as many creatures as you can afford at the end of each month.
