Talk:Expansions
Should we move the info on fan-mods to a "Mods" page instead? Those projects (at least, the ones listed currently) aren't really "expanding" the game so much as fixing bugs and stuff. Alternately, perhaps each could merit its own page, and the "Mods" page could have an overview and point to the detail pages. Memetics 07:16, 13 October 2012 (UTC)

AB indeed cannot be installed without RoE. ("Setup could not find a previous version of Heroes of Might and Magic(TM) III on this system. Please reinstall Heroes III and try again."). the fact is mentioned on the game cover ("Requires original best-selling Heroes of Might and Magic III") and that's the reason why RoE/AB double packs exist.
but SoD doesnt need any previous version to be installed. ("Includes the full version of Heroes III..."). yes, it will be auto-installed in the RoE or AB game folder if there are any, but it will just offer to choose destination location if there are not, and it will have the full RoE+AB+SoD content. so there is no 'RoE+SoD without AB' option.
