A Fort is one of the most basic structures in Heroes III. It provides the town with basic defense (namely the first level wall, without a moat or any Arrow Towers). It is also a prerequisite for every creature dwelling. The Fort can be built in any town, provided that the mapmaker hasn't disabled it. Building a fort also changes the look of the town on adventure map.

Requires: Village Hall.

Cost: 5000 Gold, 20 Wood and 20 Ore.
