Quite effective behind castle walls, since they have unlimited retaliation, and especially if you have [[Tactics]] at expert level (and your opponent doesn't have any level in this same skill...), since in this case they can fly behind walls in their first turn. Add a good [[Stone Skin]] spell on them before sending them though: their defense is not ridiculous but they don't have that many hit points (on the other hand, they are, again in case of a siege, an ideal candidate for [[Archangel]]s' ability to resurrect due to their quite low hit points).

Description

Griffins roost in special towers built for them on the Castle grounds. Royal Griffins can counterstrike against an unlimited amount of attackers.
