A place to record learned [[Spells]].

A hero cannot cast a [[Spells|spell]] unless it is in his spell book.

A hero without a spell book can buy one at a [[Mage Guild]] for 500 [[gold]].

A spell book cannot be traded to another hero, nor can it be lost after a defeat.

The Might oriented heroes do not usually start with a spell book.  The exceptions are [[Alchemists]] and [[Death Knights]].
