Revision as of 00:35, 19 December 2023 by Imahero (talk | contribs) (as far as I know they aren't causing any issues, and aren't included on any special:wanted lists so i think it would be fine to just leave them (let me know if i'm mistaken and if so i'll delete them))

General/Ongoing

1. Help clear the Maintenance Reports for unused/broken/wanted items!
2. Check out and verify Did you know?#Unverified claims
3. Look for pages that need help and report them here (e.g. unreadable color scheme, missing info)

Specific

Site interface

1. Read through the site interface strings and see if anything could be changed to benefit the site.

File upload/editing

1. Upload pictures of all town creature dwellings and town unique buildings. (Page: e.g. Template: Tower creature dwellings)
• Fortress creature dwellings currently exist (with the exception of the Wyvern Nest)
2. The pics for Template:Cove unique buildings are a different size from all the other towns' unique buildings. Edit them to match.
3. The remaining wanted pages are actually missing map files.
• What is the best way to get map files? Open up the editor and screenshot/crop? Find them somewhere online? --Legate (talk) 20:54, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
• I don't know how Phasma was doing it but I just make screenshots in the map editor and then realign them all after. When I did that last big one I had to use cheat engine to change the zoom so that I could do it with fewer screenshots. And yes it's entirely possible there's an easier way. Possibly make use of heroesmaps.org/heroes3mapscan. –imahero 21:22, 9 December 2023 (UTC)
• I do just that: turn off all animations in map editor, take multiple screenshots, delete the unnecessary areas, align them in GIMP, save an original copy, and finally create a small copy for uploading here. I'm doing them over time since they take a while, and I've done all the small and medium maps so far. I'll do some more before the year ends too :) → Phasma 12:47, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
4. The high-level map pictures for each campaign scenario (on the screen where you select the level bonus before the cinematic plays).
• Looking for (with the current level colored in and previous levels covered in slashes), not (base pic with nothing colored in)
5. Do we have the actual maps of each of the campaign levels too? Getting close to a working Campaign Scenario template and these are showing up blank. --Legate (talk) 04:14, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
• We only have a handful of the regular ones left, so we can move on to that next I suppose. –imahero 05:01, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

Content: Page Creation/Updating

1. Design a new main page. Save it on [[your user page/main page]] so we can see it. Candidates:
2. Breath Attack could use a diagram of how it works (specifically when attacking straight up or down)
• I found this, but I have no idea the accuracy or completeness. --Legate (talk) 03:43, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
3. Obstacle Penalty could use a diagram or explanation of how it works. Is it everything inside the ring wall? Does obstacle penalty disappear when the wall goes down?
4. Map Editor could use a bunch more info or link to a map editor tutorial.
5. Most HotA campaign pages are mostly empty:
6. Anyone have feedback on using the new scenario template on Homecoming before we add it everywhere? --Legate (talk) 21:06, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
• Looks good to me! I don't see anything wrong with it. → Phasma 22:55, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

Template work (advanced)

1. For Template:Scenario: Add something to show what carries over to the next level of the campaign.
• In progress --Legate (talk) 22:52, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

Community Requests

1. Write tips on campaign scenario pages (212.112.111.20)
• Sometimes there are tips on the main campaign pages under User Commentary. (e.g. Dragon's Blood)

Notes

• Use

to restart a numeric list if there are breaks in between the numbers (e.g. comments).
• Use "#*" to add a comment to an item without breaking the numbering.
