Anti-Magic Garrison is a defensive location on the Adventure Map, generally used to guard a terrain ‘bottleneck’ on a map.
Anti-magic garrison is an Adventure Map object, that can withhold up to seven different stacks of creatures. The garrison prevents all spellcasting in the visiting square. This means that it is impossible for heroes or creatures to cast spells during a combat which takes place within the garrison, but it also prevents adventure spells to be cast while the hero is located in the visiting square. If an hero is attacked while located in the visiting square, the battle will take place inside the garrison and no spells can be cast in combat. Otherwise the combat in the anti-magic garrison does not differ from a normal combat on the Adventure Map.

Up to seven stacks of creatures can be deposited in a Garrison. Players owning the Garrison, and allies, can travel through it without fighting the Garrison's force. However, an enemy must first defeat the Garrison's force before they can pass it.  Heroes cannot occupy a Garrison.
The anti-magic garrison can belong to a specific player or it can be neutral, in which case the flags are grey. An enemy hero can not pass the garrison without fighting the armies inside, and no hero can pass a neutral garrison without a fight. The garrisons can be aligned both horizontally and vertically, and they are typically used in narrow passes to create an obstacle, which can not easily be passed.

With the exception of the Anti-Magic Garrison, Garrisons do not give special defenses like walls, moats, or arrow towers. Anti-Magic Garrisons, as their name suggest, prevent all spell casting by heroes or spellcasting creatures during combat there, as well as casting of adventure spells when standing on the Garrison tile.
Additionally, the map-maker can set troops in the anti-magic garrison to be unremovable. This means that the specific player for whom the garrison belongs to, can not move the troops from the garrison to a visiting hero. This also means, that any troop stacks (from any player) transfered to the garrison will stay there permanently.

However, effects of combination artifacts like Armor of the Damned, Angelic Alliance or Ironfist of the Ogre will still work.

Check Box: Troops Are Removable
This checkbox can only be used after installing ab. It only appears in the map editor.

Removing troops from any Garrison is allowed by default, but can be unchecked to ensure that the creatures stay in the Garrison.  If the map-editor does not want a player, human or computer to take the troops from a particular Garrison, then the map-editor can simply uncheck this box and the troops will remain there until they die in a combat. New troops can be put into such a Garrison by a player, but can't be removed once added.

If the troops in the garrison are removable, there will be a flag on the first slot of the garrison. Otherwise, the troops are irremovable.
