Hydras and Chaos Hydras, as well as all living Dragons, can be transformed into Bone Dragons at a Skeleton Transformer.

Hydras need a more tactical approach, mostly because of their low speed. A preferred tactic is to use teleport or haste to move the Hydras in the middle of the enemy troops, and behind town walls with the first spell.

They are also considered to be among the worst level 7 units, especially if the hero doesn't know haste or teleport.
