'''Imbalance'''
{{location
Imbalance is a feature of game when something (hero, creature, faction, spell, etc.) delivers strong advantage (overpowered) against analogues of its tier, or strong disadvantage. In tournaments players of same skill are expected to have equal chances of victory regardless of random effects, so this presents a problem.

== Methods against imbalance ==
* Banning offending entities from game altogether
* Gentleman's accords so even if its in game, it will be not used (e.g. it might be forbidden to upgrade Vampires to Vampire Lords)
* Designing map in a way so even if entity is ingame its effect would be encountered (e.g. artifracts against necromants, or multiple mid-tier creature dwellings which are not useful for necromants)

You discover a tall gaslight tower. You light it, which produces enough light to penetrate the subterranean darkness.

Pillar of Fire is an adventure map location, where a visiting hero can see "Distant Lands", as the description states. It means, that everything within a 20 square radius is revealed for the player. Even areas clouded by a Cover of Darkness will be revealed, though they will be overclouded again at the beginning of the next day. Pillar of Fire is basically an underground version of the Redwood Observatory, though it can be used above ground as well.

Additionally, Observation Tower in Horn of the Abyss Horn of the Abyss has a similar effect.
