Fire Gate

Fire Gate - An ancient garrison defending the AvLee-Eeofol border.

The Fire Gate is mentioned in Dragon's Blood (campaign scenario). Is there reason to believe it is not there/put it on a different page?

• It is stated that the Fire Gate is a Nighon location: "After decades of war between Nighon and AvLee, the Nighons have fortified it well..." Other texts in the campaign, as well as Infernos on Mutare's side, also indicate that demons and devils in Dragon's Blood (campaign scenario) are part of Nighon forces. Eeofol is never mentioned during that mission, and given that CotD takes place after AB, the Kreegan wouldn't be in control there anyway (it is even mentioned in MM8 that Erathians found no sign of Kreegan presence in Eeofol soon after Lucifer's death). The fact that the Fire Gate stands on the AvLee-Nighon border and is located by the ocean indicates that the mission takes place somewhere in and near the Nighon territory on the coast north of Eeofol. Sure, the Kreegan presence and an Inferno town in a volcanic land would lead one to believe that it's Eeofol, but we know that the Kreegans renewed their alliance with Nighon prior to Lucifer's death and that there are Nighon holdings on the eastern shores near AvLee. So in CotD we see the remaining Kreegans and their demonic creatures serve Mutare, guarding the Fire Gate on Nighon's border, among other things. --XEL (talk) 01:41, 29 July 2025 (UTC)

  • Or rather just to Nighon in general. Of course, the LotG region on the HotA map sort of encompasses both LotG and the overall east coast Nighon territory, and the wiki more or less follows the HotA map, so this may work, too. Then again, there is no direct statement that the Fire Gate region is in LotG, only that it's on AvLee-Nighon border. --XEL (talk) 18:07, 29 July 2025 (UTC)
