Abdication[edit | hide | hide all]

"The only known point at which the Command ever assumed control of Erathia was directly after the death of King Nicolas Gryphonheart in 1164 AS." It also pretty much happened after Queen Catherine's abdication - General Morgan Kendal was put in charge of finding a suitable heir to the throne, with him wishing that the rumored-to-be-mad/possessed Gelu (which was also hinted at in AB) would return to Erathia so he could become king. That never happened, and we don't actually know what occurred in all those years preceding the Reckoning. It is irrelevant to this discussion, but I personally believe that Erathia did not remain under Kendal's rule - he lost Steadwick once, and it is made well-known that trust in him decreased greatly as a result.--FirePaladin2 (talk) 13:32, 28 June 2024 (UTC)

Theodorus and Ryland[edit | hide]

Should they be listed as members? They are present in Kendal's council in The Legacy, and sure do work closely with the REMC as Erathia's allies, but are never called its members, only their allegiance to Bracada and AvLee respectively being explicitly mentioned. And it implicitly makes more sense to list subjects of Erathia as part of the Erathian military's governing body. Perhaps listing them as "de facto" members, or in some similar manner, would be more appropriate.

P.S. While Xanthor is admitted into Kendal's inner circle in The Legacy, he is hardly a member, not being a commander, or member of the military for that matter. And we have no more reason to believe Orrin is the second-in-command than we do for Haart or Ingham. None of the three is ever highlighted in the story as being of higher position within the REMC than the others. Also, it's not stated that Sanya, let alone Jenova, are part of the REMC itself, as in the military top brass of Erathia in Steadwick. --XEL (talk) 19:53, 11 August 2025 (UTC)

  • Yeah, even listing the de-facto members is kind of weird to me (shouldn't this include all Castle Heroes?). Maybe just list the leadership and list Theodorus, Ryland, and Xanthor as "consulting" or something? --Legate (talk) 20:03, 11 August 2025 (UTC)
