After the murder of [[King Nicolas Gryphonheart]], the city was temporarily governed by [[General Morgan Kendal]]. He was unable to prevent the [[Nighon]] and [[Kreegan]] invaders from capturing the city in 1165 [[AS]] and subsequently barricading themselves in the Steadwick Valley. After falling into the hands of the enemy, it was eventually retaken by [[Catherine|Queen Catherine Ironfist]] and her [[Bracada|Bracadan]] allies. Catherine then continued to govern her homeland for the next several years, ruling both [[Enroth (nation)|Enroth]] and Erathia.
