Steadwick
Steadwick is the capital of Erathia, located near Battlestead on the banks of the Teal River
. It is ruled by the Gryphonheart dynasty. Prior to the Restoration Wars, Erathia's history has never recorded the fall of Steadwick to her enemies.
Other than being the official Erathian capitol, it is regarded as the world capital of thieves, citizens advising travelers to watch their wallet in Steadwick. William "Bill" Lasker, the Master Thief, dwells below the city and occasionally works for the crown as a spy.
The Restoration of Erathia[edit | hide | hide all]
After the murder of King Nicolas Gryphonheart, the city was temporarily governed by General Morgan Kendal. He was unable to prevent the Nighon and Kreegan invaders from capturing the city in 1165 AS and subsequently barricading themselves in the Steadwick Valley. After falling into the hands of the enemy, it was eventually retaken by Queen Catherine Ironfist and her Bracadan allies. Catherine then continued to govern her homeland for the next several years, ruling both Enroth and Erathia.
