It also pretty much happened after Queen Catherine's abdication - General Morgan Kendal was put in charge of finding a suitable heir to the throne, with him wishing that the rumored-to-be-mad/possessed Gelu (which was also hinted at in AB) would return to Erathia so he could become king. That never happened, and we don't actually know what occurred in all those years preceding the Reckoning.
