It also pretty much happened after Queen Catherine's abdication - General Morgan Kendal was put in charge of finding a suitable heir to the throne, with him wishing that the rumored-to-be-mad/possessed Gelu (which was also hinted at in AB) would return to Erathia so he could become king. That never happened, and we don't actually know what occurred in all those years preceding the Reckoning. It is irrelevant to this discussion, but I personally believe that Erathia did not remain under Kendal's rule - he lost Steadwick once, and it is made well-known that trust in him decreased greatly as a result.--[[User:FirePaladin2|FirePaladin2]] ([[User talk:FirePaladin2|talk]]) 13:32, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
