Tactics phases takes place on the battlefield just before the combat starts and the fastest creature acts. The phase occurs only if one of the heroes has Tactics secondary skill or has it on higher level than the enemy hero. Hero with the highest skill level in Tactics may arrange his troops before the fastest creature on the battlefield works. During this arranging, the hero cannot cast a spell but may Retreat or Surrender.
