Petrify (also Paralyze) is special ability of basilisks, medusas and Scorpicores. It causes enemy to freeze, and unable to move or attack for three combat rounds if not attacked. Attacking a petrified creature cases petrify to lapse, but the attack only does 50% of its damage. The visual effect for basilisks' and medusas' petrify is the same, a stoned creature. Visual effect of Scorpicores is a bit similar to dendroids binding, a bunch of vines appearing from the ground. Petrification can be removed with Cure or Dispel.
