Death stare is a special ability of Mighty Gorgons. It may occur after a stack of Mighty Gorgons have attacked and before the target stack retaliates. The stare instantly kills the 'top' unit of a stack when successful, leaving the new 'top' unit with full health. Every Mighty Gorgon in the stack has an individual 10% chance to kill a unit, but no more than 'the number of Mighty Gorgons/10, rounded up' creatures can be killed. In other words, one Mighty Gorgon will have a 10% chance to kill one unit with death stare, five will have a ~41% chance to kill one unit, and 11 gorgons have ~69% chance to kill at least one unit and a ~3% chance of killing two.

Death stare has no effect on golems/non-livings, elementals or undeads.
