There are a few pairs of spells that cannot be active on the same unit at the same time- if one is cast on a creature that has the other one on it, the one already active will be replaced by the other. Since these pairs consists of one [[blessing]] and one [[curse (spell type)|curse]], you essentially get two spells for the price of one.
