Having the Secondary Skill Artillery will increase its performance. Archery gives bonuses as per its description.
Can be bought at a Blacksmith in a Castle, Conflux or Dungeon, at a Ballista Yard in a Stronghold or at a War Machine Factory on the Adventure Map. Heroes that specialize in Ballista usually come with one.
