Stormbirds and ayssids are the level 4 creatures of Cove. They can be recruited from the Nest.

Building the Roost increases stormbird and ayssid growth by +3 per week.

The specialty of Illor the Captain increases the speed of any stormbirds or ayssids by 1 and their attack and defense skills by 5% for every 4 levels (rounded up).

Discussion

Stormbirds are average-at-best fourth level creatures. Ayssids however gain tremendous advantages from the upgrade. They do among the best overall damage of all 4th level creatures, and the ability to strike twice (as long as at least 1 creature died from the initial attack) is invaluable. They are relatively fragile though, so protect them if you can with Shield, Stone Skin, or other such defensive spells.
