Their mother stole salt, a priceless commodity in Tatalia, from gorgon feeders and rubbed it on the eggs she laid, hoping for lizardmen as mighty as those fire-breathing bulls to hatch, but instead, her children developed an unorthodox interest in the salt water of the Enroth seas and long journeys.
