Talk:List of wars in Enroth (world)
This page could probably use a disclaimer that it is WIP. The wars on Enroth (continent) are not yet mentioned, as aren't those on Jadame, and someone who knows the lore very well would be needed to thoroughly polish this page.--FirePaladin2 (talk) 19:03, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, do I add the disclaimer on top of the page? I was just about to post here that it is a WIP and give some suggestions. --Voketsin
- The reason I put Enroth in the title and not Antagarich is to include the Succession wars. if you think it is better for this page to talk just about Antagarich, I don't mind any edits. Also sorry for the many edits on this page, I'm new to editing and am still figuring things out. --Voketsin
Hello, this is the first page I create, due to lack of knowledge and time I leave this page very incomplete for now, in the hopes that more knowledgeable and experienced editors will make it into a presentable page. I will, of course, contribute where I can. Here are some things that I can't/don't have the time to add: 1.Links to pages, such as the page for the restoration wars 2.the version of the game where each war is explored more in depth 3.Many other wars 4.Dates 5.possibly splitting up the series of wars into singular wars - e.g. - restoration wars to be split into the war between the krewlod-nighon alliance and erathia, the war between tatalia and erathia, the war between krewlod and erathia, the war between deyja and erathia --Voketsin
- It's only now that I noticed that this page was made by a new contributor. Welcome, Voketsin! :) I thought it might have been Legate or someone else, so I just simply suggested making a disclaimer template. Me or someone else will make one, but you can also check, say, {{indor}} or {{inhota}} for an example of how to make a template. Adding it is just adding {{templatename}} to a page, I believe.--FirePaladin2 (talk) 20:21, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- Welcome Voketsin! Always good to have a new contributor! And I was actually thinking of making a page like this at some point, so great idea :) Always feel to reach out for help, a bunch of us have wiki experience and I know FirePaladin2 is great for lore/general quality pointers...they've helped me in the past too! --Legate (talk) 13:20, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you both for the kind words. I have a lot of questions, but I assume this page probably isn't the best place. I'll ask a few anyway; I was wondering if there is some sort of page that explains the features of the wiki that aren't that intuitive. I've learned a lot simply from seeing how other editors do things, but sometimes its hard to find what I'm looking for. Also how do you add clickable links? Is it just [[ ]] with the page name between the parentheses? Should all edits on discussion pages be marked as minor? --Voketsin (talk) 20:13, 23 July 2024 (UTC)
- This is a classic MediaWiki installation (same software as Wikipedia and a lot of other wikis), so generally you can do a web search with "help mediawiki", for example "help mediawiki table", "help mediawiki image gallery", "help mediawiki template", etc. and you should get answers this way. And indeed, internal links [[look like this]], external links [https://look.like.that instead], and template calls {{look|like this}}. You can also use some HTML tags, as well as a few extra tags like the nowiki I used to put these fake links before. --Turnam (talk) 13:05, 24 July 2024 (UTC)

Seeds of Discontent Tie-In[edit | hide | hide all]
Hi, I am not certain whether we should mention the Contested Lands revolution(?) that happens in RoE, so I wanted to ask it here in case it hasn't been already discussed before. As far as my understanding goes, it can be easily connected to the Restoration Wars with the sentence of "For the first time in the history of the Contested Lands, humans and elves have fought alongside one another to defend the region from invaders.". In fact, based on what I gathered, it happening after/during the Restoration Wars is the only option going solely off the source material. But I have no idea what happened after the events described at the Seeds of Discontent campaign. I don't know when they happened, even approximately. My idea is to add a section alluding to the stuff as an extra to the bottom. Would it do?
- Yeah, I wasn't sure whether to add it as a separate conflict or not...I just added an outcome of 'Contested Lands formed' to the main Restoration War row. I had broken out the Tatalia-Krewlod sub-conflict, so if you want, you can add a line for the Contested Lands revolution too. You can see the info we have on that campaign's timing on Talk: Timeline. --Legate (talk) 01:45, 7 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for the link, it was a gold mine of fun. I added another section dedicated to the Seeds of Discontent events; and if you wouldn't mind, I want to ask two questions: First, is it alright for the relevant note in the Restoration Wars section to be removed? I didn't think about it like that until recently, but is the Contested Lands stuff a part of the Restoration Wars where the "restoration" bit failed? If it is, it should probably be mentioned in the newly put up section that the whole thing is a sub-conflict. And second, could the Contested Lands stuff technically be unrelated to other events entirely? I think this is a stretch, but aside from Ryland being specifically called out in the second campaign mission, there is nothing that explicitly matches. I am asking this because I pondered whether I should add some "possibly"s into that section.
- No problem, glad you liked the info! I think you can remove the note on the restoration wars now that you made a separate row. I think also calling it it's own separate conflict as opposed to part of the restoration war is also fine. I remember some things about Archibald being behind the revolt (check his page) but I don't remember the details off the top of my head. --Legate (talk)
