To mark or not to mark[edit | hide | hide all]

  • I agree that the expansion symbols were cluttering up the table, but I do think they were nice to mark what has changed (in the same way we do this throughout the wiki). I suppose we could put the hota symbol next to the name of the creature with modified values (sort of like what we do for the average row), but that kind of makes it seem like the creature was added for hota. Turnam - I assume you made this change just for readability's sake? --Legate (talk) 14:19, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
    • No, if it was just to remove the icons, I'd have used the noicon parameter. It was to make the sortable columns work again. The switching templates mess with this function because they don't technically change the value, the two values are in there next to each other and it's just that one of them is hidden by the stylesheet. And the sort function ignores the style sheet. So the solution was to duplicate the entire row. --Turnam (talk) 16:46, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
    • Ah, that is a good point. In that case, what do you think about adding the symbols back in on the values that actually changed (but keep the separate rows)? I just tested it an the sorting seems to still work properly. --Legate (talk) 14:32, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
      • Maybe only use the hota icon? I'm not sure it makes sense to have one value getting Sandro's face in the middle of the table when HOTA is disabled and none of the other values (including the same value on other rows) have it. Whereas with hota is enabled, it makes sense to have the icon to show that there was a change here. --Turnam (talk) 14:38, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
      • That works for me! --Legate (talk) 14:39, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
