NOTE: The term 'Elves' is sometimes used to refer to the nation of AvLee.
Wood Elves and Grand Elves are the level 3 creatures of Rampart. They are recruited from the Homestead.
"Armed with bows, elves are the only Rampart units with a ranged attack. Grand elves take two shots per attack." RoE manual
Dwellings & Portraits[edit | hide | hide all]
Heroes with a specialty[edit | hide]
Ivor the Ranger
Gelu the Ranger
can upgrade Wood Elves and Grand Elves (also Archers and Marksmen) into Sharpshooters.
Horn of the Abyss[edit | hide]
In Horn of the Abyss, the size of starting Wood Elf stacks for Rampart heroes was significantly nerfed from 3-6 to 2-4 (33% less). However, as all level 3 starting stacks, they now have a 100% chance of appearing.
User Commentary
These are one of the most indispensable units of the Rampart, along with the unicorns and dragons, because they are the only shooter of this faction and deal impressive amounts of damage, especially upgraded. However, it should be noted that they die very easily when attacked, and each ranged attack a turn caused by the Grand Elves uses up two shots, not one.
The AI really likes to target the Elves. When conquering a city sometimes it's advisable to leave the Elves behind to avoid losses to the towers.
