DoR - unusual links[edit | hide]

Grotto links to Halfling / Halfling Grenadier. There's also a link to a Neutral Creature list. Are these placeholders waiting for some official information? Do you need help finding / describing some data for the DoR? Csaros (talk)

  • Where is it linking to Halflings? I checked the page which is a redirect to the Cove building, and nothing on the DoR sandbox page links to them either. Special:WhatLinksHere/Halfling_and_Halfling_Grenadier doesn't show anything too. Also we don't have any more info on DoR just yet - I ask FirePaladin every now and then but I think the team is hard at work for now! → Phasma 16:17, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

  • Ahh that's all placeholder stuff for now. It's only on sandbox pages so it's all due to change once we know more about DoR so we can at least make the appropriate pages, but we don't know anything other than what we've documented plus a VERY little amount more that we haven't put on here yet (like making the Forge page purely to say that it's in DoR and Cyber Zombies will be a thing or mentioning Valkyries in DoR). If you want to add any info or change things around then I would say to go for it but we don't have any information to change things to just yet! → Phasma 16:24, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

darkModeShadowFix[edit | hide]

I didn't like the appearance of shadows while using dark reader, so I added a css media query to the MediaWiki:Common.css. It only turns on if your systemwide device setting is set to dark mode (in my testing it only switched when I changed the setting in my OS, not my browser).   • Looks fine to me for now! I think it's a decent stopgap until every image's shadow is converted to transparent black (.WEBP supports this for animation, .GIF does not) → Phasma 03:02, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
    • If you tell me what command to run with ffmpeg or imagemagick or whatever other program to convert our gif files to this webp format with transparent black, I will run it and also run other commands to batch replace all the current usages of the .gif version with the new .webp version. If necessary I could also probably do a more complex operation using the PIL library from python to replace individual pixels. Would you mind uploading an example webp for me to inspect so I can figure out what exactly it is I might need to do? –imahero 03:18, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
      • File:Pikeman.webp slight issue now - I can render out as webp animation, I can see it when I drag it into my browser to view it, I can upload it here and open it in a new tab to view it, but it won't natively display here or on discord. Deus Ex Machina Heroes[edit | hide]

  • Hi Phasma. Some of the heroes on Deus Ex Machina look suspect:
    • There are 2 Ysedore listed.
    • 'lust' looks like he might be missing the first few letters of his name?
      • I've amended the duplicate hero, and no, "Iust" is his name. Remember you can also easily double check these things yourself now with the campaign & map editor! If you think something is wrong, you can check and amend it yourself! → Phasma 20:02, 12 February 2024 (UTC)

Hero Class[edit | hide]

created placeholders for factory heroes' primary stats. u can replace it with ur data in case u are already sure its solid enough.

talking about ur recent image work - im afraid we have a problem with a global unmarked hota intrusion here. our basic version is sod and the presence of any hota fixes should be visible right in the file name or at least in a file category. i consider the mere idea of having m/f heroes distinction in the hero class templates by no means good, i uploaded these guys Category:Hero_class_(adventure_map) Category:Hero_class_(adventure_map)_HotA exactly for that, but was waiting for factory release ever since. but the sod info still should go first, so all this should be realized via 'switch' template or something. --GroundhogYear (talk) 10:51, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

Ahh I see, perhaps I'll have to give it a go with a switch template then, to switch between default SoD graphics and the edited template I made to include the HotA graphics. And thank you for your help with the placeholders since I couldn't get the code to reference them! I think it's an issue with the class pages for the Factory heroes but I have no idea since I copied the code from the Cove's Captain class page --→ Phasma 15:48, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
