Prison as seen on adventure map.

Prison is an adventure map object, that holds an imprisoned hero. When a hero visits the prison they will free the imprisoned hero who then joins the player, free of charge. If the player already has eight heroes outside of towns, the prisoner is not freed. After the imprisoned hero has been freed, the prison will disappear. The imprisoned hero can be set by a mapmaker or be chosen randomly. A random hero will have a default starting army.

On random maps the hero type in prison is randomised. If f.e. no hero from Rampart is available in the template settings, generator will try to generate prison, but it will not appear on the map. It will still count towards maximum number per zone. (pending for test)

Horn of the Abyss

In Horn of the Abyss, two additional variants of prison were added:

  • - (was before v1.7)
  • - (Can be found only on water, a released hero appears in a boat).

Functionally equivalent to the Hero Camp Horn of the Abyss.
